Class of 1972 - 50th Reunion

Friday, October 14, 2022 - Saturday, October 15, 2022

The EIU Alumni Services invites the class of 1972 back to campus to celebrate their 50th Anniversary in conjunction with EIU Homecoming.  

The 2022 Homecoming Weekend schedule will be as follows:

Friday, October 14

4 pm Campus Tour: Enjoy a riding tour around campus and experience firsthand all the exciting changes that have been taking place over the last 50 years.  

4:30 pm Legacy Social Reception: MLK Jr. University Union; University Ballroom. 

This is an opportunity for you and your classmates to join together to catch up on the last 50 years.  Host bar (beer and wine) available. 

5 pm Livingston C. Lord and Heritage Society Pinning Ceremony: MLK Jr. University Union; University Ballroom

The Livingston C. Lord Society was established to honor members of the 50 year class who return to campus for their Golden Reunion.  The Heritage Society honors individuals who made the commitment to support the University through planned gifts.  Each individual will be called forward to receive his or her society pins.    

5:30 pm Legacy Society Dinner: MLK Jr. University Union; University Ballroom $10 a ticket

6:00 pm Tribute Donor Recognition: MLK Jr. University Union; Grand Ballroom

Please join the Office of University Advancement for our exclusive event to honor the benefactors who inspire greatness here at EIU.  A social hour will begin at 6:00 pm the program will start at 6:30 pm.  The EIU Foundation will be presenting the Philanthropist of the Year award. 
 

Saturday, October 15

9:30 am Homecoming parade: 6th Street and 7th Street    

11:00 am Alumni Tailgate at Tent City: Behind O'Brien Stadium. Enjoy Tent City tailgating and stop by the Alumni tent prior to the kick-off!

2 pm Homecoming Football Game: O'Brien Field EIU hosts Lindenwood for the Homecoming Football Game.  Game ticket $20

6 pm Alumni Awards Dinner: MLK Jr. University Union Grand Ballroom Join us as the Alumni Association honors our Alumni during the 2022 Alumni Awards Dinner $45 a ticket.
